Maintenance Free Surface Armouring Design Build Up Diagram

350mm soil enhancement with SUREGROUND™ binder surfaced with 100-150mm Type 1 stone. The stone is then bound with further SUREGROUND™ binder and additional plant is employed to create an extremely robust, maintenance free surface. Suitable for projects up to and exceeding two years.



100-150mm of stone is spread onto the curing enhanced layer.

The stone is mixed with SUREGROUNDTM binder and compacted.


Additional finishing processes are undertaken with specialist plant to achieve a lean and robust finish.

The Surface Armouring can be decommissioned and recycled as per the standard method. A crushing process is employed prior to stone donation to achieve the correct grade of material for the recipient.
