350MM COMBINED CAPPING AND SUBBASE INSTALLED IN ONE PASS TO IAN 73/06(W) REVISION 1 (2009)

Strengths guaranteed to achieve over 30% CBR (Min 350kn/M2) for a single enhanced subbase layer with an addition rate of 2% binder, founded upon a 2.5% CBR subgrade.
TYPE 1 STONE SURFACING DESIGN
Curing stabilised material is covered with 100-150mm of primary type 1 stone and is compacted, this cures with the stabilised layer giving a robust and durable surface. Suitable for short to medium length programmes.
SURFACE ARMOURING
The enhanced area is surfaced with primary type 1 before it is mixed with further binder and additional finishing processes are undertaken. Suitable for programmes approaching or exceeding 2 years.
